About Alpenglow Construction
Our company, Alpenglow, has been in construction for over twenty-four years. Starting in 1998, we built over 150 speculative homes that stretched from Mt. Hood to the Oregon Coast. Since 2005, we have focused on building and remodeling custom homes throughout Portland and its suburbs. We have drilled deep piles for homes that hang off hillsides, poured hundreds of foundations for new homes and additions, dug wells, and created wine cellars and custom salt-water pools. There isn’t much we haven’t tackled in residential construction. Each project is unique and deserves proper planning and attention, from start to finish.
We value good communication, careful and thorough estimating, and transparent billing practices. Our goal is to create a partnership between you, your architect or designer, and your engineering team, so we can transform your plans into your dream space.

About Bob McCurdy
I was born in Pennsylvania and attended Davis and Elkins College in West Virginia to study Biology. When I turned 21, I took a pick-up truck loaded with antiques to my older sister in Oregon, and fell in love with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. On my second day in Oregon I climbed Mt. Hood with my best friend and was greeted at the summit with views from Mt. Shasta to Mt. Baker to the Pacific Ocean. My first jobs were surveying logging roads in the national forests, and teaching skiing on Mt. Hood. In between construction projects I enjoy skiing, fishing, working in my garden and spending time with my family and grand-dog.
